Remember this story? Teresa Giudice was doing a book signing event in the Poconos. Joe, whose drivers’ license was revoked after that tree-hugging incident, had impersonated his brother to obtain another drivers license. Of course, because Joe Giudice is one of the world’s dumbest criminals, he was stopped by the police and arrested. His mother bailed him out and drove him to Teresa’s event.

Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice, husband of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, was indicted by a Passaic Country Grand jury Tuesday on charges that he fraudulently obtained a New Jersey driver’s license, authorities said.

The indictment charges Giudice, 40, of Montville with one count of wrongfully using identifying information of another — his brother Pietro Giudice — and one count of impersonation.

Giudice allegedly obtained a driver’s license at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission office in Paterson in June 2010 using Pietro’s marriage and birth certificates, authorities said.

The investigation began after Pietro Giudice was pulled over during a routine traffic stop in Lincoln Park last March, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a statement.

When the officer ran Pietro’s information through his mobile terminal, the search yielded Pietro’s information but Giuseppe’s photograph, Valdes said.

Giuseppe’s license was suspended at the time, and is still suspended.

An investigation by the prosecutor’s Financial Crimes Unit, the Motor Vehicle Commission and the Lincoln Park police revealed that Giuseppe Giudice had obtained a New Jersey driver’s license utilizing Pietro’s identifying documents.

The charge of wrongfully using identifying information is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The impersonation charge carries a maximum 18-month prison sentence.

Teresa Giudice was stunning in a red dress, with her long hair straight and parted down the middle, but she needed Phaedra’s “prayer cloth” when she sat down.

Wendy launched into the Season 3 Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, saying she came off looking like the villain, after which the tide turned, as Jacqueline Laurita’s bankruptcy and the Manzo Brownstone scandal came to the forefront.

A new, media-savvy Teresa emerged. In a couple of classy moves, she dodged Wendy’s questions about her cast mates and all questions about Celebrity Apprentice.

Wendy did ask about the night of the infamous Posche Fashion Show, when Joe was out with another woman. She says she and Joe are very happy. (of course)

Teresa did admit to speaking to Dina Manzo last week.

Wendy, in her frustration dubbed Teresa “cryptically shady”.

Some of Teresa’s recipes from”Fabulicious”, her second cookbook, were taste tested by Wendy.

At the end of the interview, when asked if Juicy Joe ate this food, Teresa’s answer was the Teresa we know:

“Joe eats all my food and eats me too”.

Without the inappropriate comment, would we know her? So much for classy.

Perhaps this is the reason she failed to make an appearance at the Season 3 reunion? Jacqueline Laurita, her mother and her father in recent weeks have been all over twitter putting Teresa Giudice on blast. It was so bad even Ashley Holmes blocked her own grandmother.

Is this the reason Dina Manzo has stayed away from her brother?

What does Caroline Manzo, sister of Chris Laurita have to say about this? Does this include BLK Beverages, run by Albie and Chris Manzo, but owned by Chris Laurita?

Chris and his brother Joseph Laurita founded Signature Apparel together in 2005, and according to court documents, drained the company and improperly used funds and assets to support their luxurious lifestyle -- to the tune of $7,804,227.

“The Laurita brothers soon drained the Company of all of its funds and assets in order to support their families’ increasingly opulent lifestyle of private jets, limousines, extravagant parties, premium automobiles, designer clothing, ostentatious home furnishings and lavish vacations,” the complaint that was filed on November 2, 2010, reads.

“Signature’s assets were misused to make outright and unjustified payments to Laurita family members, and to fund the operations of the Laurita brothers’ other companies and business ventures.”

The Laurita’s business venture was quite successful, banking more than $250 million between 2005 and 2009, according to the documents.

But in November of 2009 the company filed bankruptcy prompting the debtor to come forward with the complaint and here are some examples of how they claim monies were misused:

* Nearly $2 million in credit card payments for the Laurita Family, including payments to more than 40 bank accounts.
* At least $331,637 for payments on no less than eleven leased cars, including a Bentley and a Maserati.
* At least $284,793 in airline travel expenses for the Laurita Family.
* At least $145,894 for private airplane rentals for the Laurita Family.
* At least $7,280 for travel agent expenses for the Laurita Family.
* At least $755,184 to defendant Christopher Laurita for undocumented or insufficiently documented reasons.
* At least $784,160 of disbursements directed by the Laurita Director Defendants (Chris and Joseph) to unknown recipients, without any documentation whatsoever.

“Jacqueline and Anthony Laurita each knew of the Laurita Director Defendant’s wrongful conduct, and each substantially assisted the Laurita Director Defendants in breaching their fiduciary duties by, among other conduct, accepting funds they each knew belonged to Signature and for which they each knew they had performed no services and/or provided no value,” the claim continued.

“Funds that should have been used to grow Signature’s business and to pay Signature’s vendors and creditors, instead were diverted to the Laurita Family Defendants.”

On March 14, 2011 Jacqueline and her husband Chris filed an amended answer to the complaint, wherein Jacqueline states she “lacks knowledge or information sufficient to form a belief as to the truth of the allegations of the First Amended Complaint.”

Jacqueline’s husband denied nearly all of the 155 allegations made in the claim and states that the complaint should be dismissed “because of a failure to state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action and a failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.”

Jacqueline is claiming to be “too stupid to know” about any financial malfeasance. She is as believable as Teresa Giudice when she made the same claim.

I believe them both. They never asked their husbands, or wondered where the money came from, they just spent. Chris Laurita came off as one of the few likeable characters on this New Jersey train wreck. Another one bites the dust.

Teresa Giudice clearly doesn’t know when to quit, especially if she’s getting paid. She’s the cover story on In Touch Weekly , again. Like a Rob Shuter piece in the Huffington Post, no sources are named. All the information in the piece is public knowledge.

In the case of the Manzo’s finances, I found this, but it’s ancient history now.

The bulk of the Manzo family's income stems from their event and catering hall The Brownstone. But Caroline's husband Albert has been involved in over 30 judgments and liens (one brought on by a family member) since the early '90s up until two years ago . And while it can be expected that a business that deals with picky brides and numerous vendors to be caught up in several financial disputes, there was also a state tax lien in 2000 for $10,546.17, as well as a judgment in favor of the Federal Mortgage Association for $148,000, plus a few judgments in favor of the First Bank of USA and North Jersey Federal Credit for a combined total of over $10,000. It would seem that these specific issues, however, have been resolved.

None of these women know exactly what their husbands do to obtain money. Until they got Bravo income of their own, they didn’t wonder about it, either. Not just these women, but Alexis Bellino of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Taylor Armstrong of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Nene Leakes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, or Larsa Pippen of the Real Housewives of Miami.

My readers know it’s about Prince Albie Manzo, Chris Manzo and Greggy Bennett being held for four days in Punta Cana after a brawl between them, Joe Giudice and two Chicago Policemen broke out at the Hard Rock Hotel bar. Edited out? Most assuredly, and the victims are suing everyone, including Bravo.

In a sneak peek at part one of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion show, one-time friends Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice are at each other's throats.

In a stunning turn of events, Joe Giudice withdrew his bankruptcy petition, apparently after seeing there is a fair to even chance he and possibly wife Teresa Giudice would be convicted during their bankruptcy fraud trial, scheduled for October 13. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members were known for an extravagant lifestyle, while barely able to keep the creditors off the front lawn.

Never mind! “Real Housewives of New Jersey” husband Joe Giudice — “Juicy Joe” to wife Teresa -- abandoned his quest to have his millions of dollars of debts forgiven in federal bankruptcy court.

He made the about-face after invoking the Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination when questioned by the trustee for his creditors about assets, income and business interests he is accused of hiding from the court, according to court papers obtained by The Star-Ledger this week.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Morris Stern signed off on a settlement between Giudice and the trustee, John Sywilok. The agreement does not apply to Teresa Giudice, who is still pursuing a discharge of her debts.

According to the court order, Giudice consulted with a criminal defense lawyer before taking the Fifth. “The defendant Giuseppe Giudice acknowledges his desire to resolve the matter without the need for further inquiry or litigation, and without making any further admissions,” the court papers read.

Generally, if a trustee discovers that a debtor is concealing assets or income, he or she would make a criminal referral to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the bankruptcy fraud unit of the U.S. Trustee Program, said Millburn bankruptcy lawyer Leonard C. Walczyk. “They are really cracking down on bankruptcy fraud,” he said. “It is a real hot issue.”

Sywilok and James Kridel, the Guidice’s attorney, did not return calls for comment. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark, which prosecutes criminal bankruptcy fraud, said the office does not, as a rule, confirm or deny ongoing investigations.

Soon after, Sywilok filed a lawsuit opposing debt discharge for the couple, claiming they tried to conceal assets, including three vehicles, a boat, and properties in Hillside that house the family pizzeria, a laundromat and apartments.

(Not long after the couple filed for bankruptcy, television crews taped Joe Giudice taking his wife on a tour of one of the modest apartments, joking that they might have to live there after they’re tossed out of their mansion.)

The couple also hid income, Sywilok alleged, including two advances totaling $280,000 advance for Teresa Giudice’s cookbook “Skinny Italian” — it was a bestseller, and she has since released a follow-up — and her monthly “Housewives” salary of $7,083 from "Housewives" production company Sirens Media.

In the third season, filmed last fall and currently airing, Teresa Giudice admits that money has been tight — in the most recent episode, the camera panned to the 99-cent sticker on a package of paper plates at daughter Milania’s decidedly downscale pizza party — but she is still shown shopping and padding about her ostentatiously detailed but conspicuously underfurnished mansion.

Teresa Giudice’s bankruptcy case is still working its way through the court system, and the court order stipulates that Sywilock is still opposing her discharge of debt. According to bankruptcy lawyer Ronald LeVine of Hackensack, Joe Giudice would still be responsible for their joint debts even if a judge absolves Teresa Giudice’s liability.

Joe Giudice’s sudden fame has made every false step a public one. He racked up a DUI last year and served 10 days in jail for driving with a suspended license, and was arrested earlier this year on charges he fraudulently obtained New Jersey driver’s license because his own was suspended. That case has not yet gone to the grand jury, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

In January, federal bankruptcy judge Stern sided with Giudice’s former business partner, who wanted a $260,000 debt excluded from the bankruptcy after Giudice allegedly forged his name to some mortgage discharge papers.

“The extraordinary web of lies and misrepresentations woven by Giudice to implement and cover his misconduct reflects on his approach to business matters,” Stern wrote in his opinion, “and suggests his disregard for legal restraints which would bind others.”

Note that Teresa Giudice continues to pursue her bankruptcy petition. I’ll take the Louboutin high-heeled black boots she wore in a recent episode off her hands. Just tryin’ to help a sister out.

Sure, the families featured on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” hardly look like they need a handout, but that doesn’t mean they won’t take one or two — and then get mad when they don’t get more.
According to Radar Online, that’s just what happened when “Real Housewives” newbies Richard Wakile and his son Joseph offered one store a chance to photograph them in exchange for freebies.
It seems Richard, otherwise known as husband to Kathy and cousin-in-law to Teresa Giudice isn't happy with the arrangement they made with Something Sophisticated, as it yielded them only two gratis shirts.
“They reached out to us, checked out our store, thought it would be mutually beneficial, so they called us, we set up the time, we hired a photographer, bought champagne and food,” shop owner Ed Bergan told Radar. “As far as we were concerned it went great.”
Hours after the shoot, a personal assistant for the Wakiles sent out an email stating that the “The Real Housewives” stars felt the two gifts showed that the shop “is not at all being thankful nor grateful for whom they are.”

Whom they are? They should be thanking Danielle Staub, the one who made their appearance on the show possible. Just a thought

Teresa Giudice was a no show this morning on Today . Melissa Gorga, Teresa’s sister-in-law and Kathy Wakile, her cousin, the new cast members were there, along with veterans Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. Since Teresa is not one to miss a media opportunity, is she refusing to appear with Melissa? The bad blood between them is such that Teresa threatened to leave the Real Housewives of New Jersey earlier this year. Good thing for her, she wasn’t dealing with Donald Trump. Jacqueline Laurita will be dealing with issues related to her daughter Ashley Holmes, as Caroline struggles with an empty nest.

The family brawl at the christening party for Melissa’s son is featured on the 90 minute Episode 1, premiering Monday, May 16. This epic brawl, which even involved the Bravo Crew, apparently sets the tone for the season.

Teresa Giudice of the Real Housewives of New Jersey didn’t take Kelly Bensimon’s course in Famewhoredom 101, “all publicity is good”. She repeatedly makes questionable statements, she’s not able to hide her marital and financial problems from the public eye, and she makes enemies everywhere.

Wasn’t she the one who first mentioned she’d be the cover story at Life and Style via Twitter last week? Didn’t she, in fact, sell them the story? So pardon my confusion. As for the story at Radar, nothing happened at the Posche Fashion show, held at the Brownstone since the North Jersey Country Club banned them after the Danielle Staub fight, started by Teresa, last year.

I received an email about the Fashion Show from Kim Granatell’s publicist, but, according to a source at the actual event, Kim was not filmed. There was “tension” and eye rolling in the room, with Melissa Gorga and the other cousin were on opposite sides of the room during the event, but nothing happened.

It appears Bravo is casting Teresa as the villain for Season 3. And she is cooperating, whether she knows it or not.

Ashley Holmes, the volatile 20 year old daughter of Jacqueline Laurita, will not be returning to the Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 3.

The hubby of "Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice forged a former business partner's signature on a mortgage document in order to take out another loan and pocket $1 million, court papers charge.

What Joe Giudice did with the 2007 windfall is anyone's guess. The couple declared bankruptcy in October, claiming they were nearly $11 million in debt.

Joe Mastropole, who owned property with Joe Giudice, gave him a $586,000 loan secured by three East Orange, NJ, buildings. Giudice paid back only $300,000 with the balance due in December 2007.

Confusing because I can never decipher fact from fiction when Danielle Staub of the New Jersey Housewives speaks. I still can’t figure out if this is the tape Steve Zalewski her boyfriend from last season, tried to release or not.

Danielle Staub, 47, just spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about her sex tape scandal! The mother of two and author of The Naked Truth, tells us that she’s been living a real life nightmare! “I had a sexual relationship that was supposed to remain private,” says Danielle. “I was approached and I’ve been being blackmailed for quite some time and there’s NOTHING I could do to shut it down.’

Danielle tells us despite recent reports that say she leaked her own sex tape are completely false.

“I would never release my own sex tape. I would never do such a thing,” she says adamantly. “I’m already in the media and we’re in season on the show [RHONY] so why would I do something like this?”

Stills from the sex tape were obtained by TMZ and there was speculation that the video looked to be of high quality insinuating that Danielle staged the video intentionally so she could release it.

“It’s not true that I made the film to be released to the public,” she says. “I’m holding the camera in my hand and taking pictures of myself so I don’t know why people think the footage is high quality.”

The New Jersey mom of two tells HollywoodLife.com that despite everything she’s holding her head high.

“I feel like sh*t,” she says. “It bothers me but I’m not ashamed. I’m a woman … I had a sexual relationship that was supposed to remain private and the fact that it’s not private shows the type of society this is. I’m not ashamed of my body or myself. I have thick skin … this wasn’t intended for anyone to see.”

Danielle also tells us the comment about her comparing her sex tape to Kendra Wilkinson’s was taken out of context.

“The only time I left my house was for Starbucks and I was approached and asked about Kendra’s tape,” she says. “I was asked if I thought mine was better and I said I can’t judge hers, I haven’t seen hers but I was in mine and I hope mine would be better.”

Danielle says she will not be pressing charges or taking this to court.

“What can I do. You can’t stop things once it hits the air,” she says. “Am I going to spend my days in court or move on with my life? I’m going to move on.”

Above all Danielle reveals she knows in her heart she did nothing wrong and she’s not going to apologize for this.

“I would prefer not having this kind of attention,” she says. “I don’t care what people think of me anymore … It was brought to my attention that I’m getting more world wide attention than the oil spill and this shows you that if society thinks I’m the one that’s messed up then you’re wrong.”

Kevin Maher, Danielle Staub’s aka Beverly Merrill’s first husband has been talking again. He is the inspiration for the book “Cop Without a Badge”, in which he exposes her criminal past. His credibility, however, is as questionable as hers.

"Because she was on this thing to find out who her biological mother was. About a week later, they came back and they told me, 'we can't get it. Those records are sealed. No one can get it.'"
Despite the fact that even Maher's D.E.A. connections couldn't get access to her adoption records, Staub has claimed to know much about her birth parents.

"A source close to Danielle" told DBKP that the Bravo star claimed her father was a Catholic priest who got a teenaged girl pregnant in Italy. According to the source, Staub claimed her father was then murdered and her mother fled to Pennsylvania where she gave birth to Danielle and then placed her in an Italian Catholic adoptive family.

But, the report points out that according to Staub's recently deceased adoptive mother's obituary, she was a member of The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, a fundamentalist Christian organization with no association with the Catholic Church.
Also, the surname Merrill, according to the report, isn't Italian. The name has roots in "Scandinavian Viking, English, French-Breton or Irish origins" according to the blog's research.

But what of Staub's Catholic priest father who was murdered? DBKP says it used several sources and couldn't find one Catholic priest who was murdered in "Italy, Sicily or anywhere else across the globe" in 1962, the year of Staub's birth or even the year before her birth.

Yet, according to the description of Staub's autobiography on Amazon.com, Staub changed her story again. The book's description drops the Catholic priest father and says, "her mother was pressured by her well-to-do family to leave Italy and not return until after she'd put her baby up for adoption."

In only one season, Teresa and Danielle brought enough drama to give the Real Housewives of New Jersey the second highest ratings. The highest ratings? The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The lowest paid? You guessed it, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Not for the reason some could surmise, but they failed to retain good representation.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey make the most of all the famewhores. Why? Can you imagine their contract negotiations? Can you imagine the kind of representation the children and in-laws of the late Albert “Tiny” Manzo can retain? (insert whatever you want here). Additionally, New Jersey did not air for almost 2 years because the Manzos played hardball with Bravo. A “you need me more than I need you” attitude helps.

On the other hand, Nene Leakes, Sheree Whitfield and Kim Zolciak would walk on hot coals to be on television. Bravo played with them all summer, with Victoria Rowell rumors and such. I’m sure Nene and Sheree would accept any amount. Desperation isn’t pretty.

But there are other perks that are worth plenty of money. The Real Housewives of Atlanta are filming some of the show in Africa this season, and The Jersey Housewives are going to Italy. And yes, dare I say it...Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley are rumored to be getting married on the show..Bravo’s picking up the tab.

In a testament to the icy relations between cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, none of Danielle Staub’s costars have reached out to her to offer condolences on the passing of her mother, Ruth Merrill.

Merrill died on March 21 after having a stroke at the age of 75 in Athens, Penn. Funeral services were held this past Thursday.

“We know how they feel about me,” Staub, who broke down in tears while discussing her mother, tells PEOPLE of her costars. “They weren’t my friends before the show, they weren’t friends with me on the show, and they won’t be friends with me when the show has come and gone. I don’t expect them to reach out to me. I would actually be shocked. I would prefer not to have people be fake around me.”

And it’s not as if Staub’s mother was a stranger to the show, which kicks off its new season on May 3. “She’s on the show a little bit, she’s definitely a voice of reason with me,” Staub reveals. “She was a sweet woman, she adopted me, I was her miracle. She was one of the most energetic women. She was a very religious woman, a God-fearing woman.”

The New Jersey Star-Ledger is reporting that some of the New Jersey housewives including Teresa Guidice and Jacqueline Laurita (photographed above) decided to have dinner with Danielle’s ex husband Kevin Maher, who also happens to be the man behind “Cop Without A Badge” — the book that outed Danielle’s past as an escort and drug user.

Kevin is the man on the far right, and the man on the far left is Charles Kipps, who also helped write the book. Also at this dinner were Joe Giudice, Chris Laurita and Albie Manzo, the son of Caroline Manzo.

So what was the point of all this? Well it was all apparently to get answers about Danielle’s past. Danielle had denied being a “coke whore” and claimed Kevin “brutalized and terrorized” her during their brief marriage. A claim Kevin doesn’t deny, saying, “I did hit her. I’m not proud of it.”

Well after this dinner, Jacqueline tweeted, “everything was answered, i have clarity. moving on now!” She later added, “Just so this talk of crazy ends. Ex took a polygraph to clear his name and crazy is a big time liar. That’s my closure. Let’s all move on.” Not to be outdone by Jacque, Teresa also tweeted the following – “omg what am i hearing, music to my ears…she is certifiable…”

This May, Bravo's most addictive entry in their "Housewives" franchise is coming back for a brand new season -- and while a lot has changed (their hair, their nails, their bellies) the important stuff has stayed the same. Danielle is still a grade A-bitch that the Manzo sisters are intent on taking down.

In fact, the hostility is so intense that at the March 10 Bravo Upfront Party, Danielle told PopWrap that this was the first time she'd even seen the ladies in months. "I don't worry about them anymore," she told PopWrap.

And from one look at this newly released "Real Housewives of New Jersey" trailer, it's not hard to see why. The Nov. 11, 2009 incident where Jacqueline's daughter Ashley ripped out Danielle's extensions following a night of increasing verbal attacks from both sides was all very clearly captured on film.

B98.5 FM’s Steve McCoy and Vikki Locke led off their interview with “Real Housewives of Atlanta ” cast member Lisa Wu Hartwell Thursday morning with the juicy allegations made on their show last week by Kim Zolciak ’s ex-publicist Jonathan Jaxson.

Zolciak’s on-again, off-again manager claimed on the show that after Hartwell’s house went into foreclosure last year, it was Zolciak who hopped a fence on the property to take pictures to leak to celebrity website TMZ.com.

But, reasoned the budding fashion designer, “Jonathan has been known to lie. When people aren’t dealing with a full deck, you’ve got to fold! You know what? I can’t get into it or I’ll be back on TMZ.”

Despite the constant drama and backstabbing on screen and off, Hartwell predicted that she will continue on the Bravo reality show multi-car pile up.

“The ratings are great,” she explained. “We get a lot of opportunities.”

Hartwell also stated in the interview that her current residence near Chateau Elan shared with hubby, former Baltimore Raven football player Ed Hartwell was purchased by them seven years ago. She also denied rumors that Bravo is footing the mortgage or rent on any of the cast members’ homes.

Everyone was true to form. Tamra was plain stupid, as expected, Jeana knew more than the other two, and Vicki was about to get hostile.

The fifth season of the county's best-loved (and most-hated) reality TV series premieres at 10 p.m. Nov. 5 on Bravo. After that, it will air at 10 p.m. Thursdays – not Tuesdays as in seasons past.

Here are some of the highlights of the Richard Chang sneak peek:

The newest housewife, Alexis Bellino, "I'm so excited to be one of the housewives." We see her exercising. She adds, "Hopefully, make the world a better place." Yeah, right.

Flash over to Jeana meeting with Gretchen. "I put my house up for sale," she says. "I'm asking for 5.5 million . It's just got to be too much. I don't really think anyone wants to buy in this market." By all accounts, Jeana is expected to depart the cast this season.

Speaking of real estate, we see an agent having a serious meeting with Simon and Tamra Barney. "There are homes selling in this area for below a million," he says.

Tamra: "There's zero equity. I mean, We're so upside down." Tamra to the camera: "To actually sell the house is … (in tears) a little hard."

Meanwhile, Lynne is getting ready for plastic surgery. "I feel like my face has fallen and it can't get up," she says. "Get me in there, right now."

She is wheeled into the surgery room with marker lines dotting her face – presumably indicating the procedure she's going to have.

"You did really good, Lynne," a nurse says after she's done.

Earlier this month, Lynne’s family is faced with eviction from their Laguna Beach home and were forced to move out because of their financial difficulties. That will no doubt be part of Lynn's story line as well.

Back to our "Housewives" sneak peek. The wives are trying on lingerie and bathing suits, while their husbands are waiting outside the dressing rooms. Simon Barney says, "So are we getting hot back there? Our wives taking off their clothes. That makes anyone hot."

Later, Simon and Tamra are having drinks with Alexis and her husband and what appear to be Gretchen and possibly Slade Smiley, whom she's now dating. Tamra says, "Vicki felt uncomfortable, because she was the odd man out."

Simon says, "Vicki's always been envious of me and her," pointing to himself and his wife.

Tamra: "Don't say that."

Simon: "I'm sorry, it's the truth."

In another conversation, a teary Vicky says to Tamra: "Your husband looks at me with hate in his eyes."

Tamra: "No, he doesn't."

Vicki: "He said, 'I don't want my wife hanging around you because you're too independent.' I'm (inaudible) exit out of this one." Sorry, is being independent a bad thing?

Next we see Gretchen hanging out with her dog(s) at the beach. "I don't know if I've coped very well after Jeff passed away," she says, referring to her ex-fiancé who died from leukemia at the end of last season.

"I'm really fortunate for the time that we did have, but you know, every day is a tough day without him." Did you hear that, Slade?

Finally, there's a new wrinkle in the formerly rock-solid Barney relationship.

Tamra: "When it comes to Simon and I, it is a rocky road."

At a party, she says to him, "Let's act like we like each other."

Simon says, "Show a little class, would you?" I guess those etiquette classes she took last season didn't help.

Later, Tamra says to her mom, "I just don't think that I'm the person he wants me to be." She breaks into tears. "We're seriously heading towards divorce, and I don't know what to do."

This dilettante dabbles in this and that...always on someone else’s dime. Ex-husband Keith Sweat, who has full custody of their two sons, had to sue her back in 2003 for the $180,000 she borrowed from him to make the movie” "Black Ball". In 2007, after she married the vulnerable Ed Hartwell, she filed for bankruptcy.

Her latest venture, the clothing line “Closet Freak”, seems nonexistent. Her website has one clickable link, to her fictional biography. Everything she claims is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Just like a “Real Housewife”!

Between the blogosphere and her mother, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" newcomer Kandi Burruss can't seem to catch a break from all the criticism surrounding her engagement to AJ Jewel. Now, this too kind-hearted woman has added twins to the mix.

ESSENCE.COM: Throughout the show your mom has expressed her discontent with your fiancé. Does she still feel the same?
BURRUSS: Yes, but what people don't realize is that my mom's [disapproval] happened before the show. When she feels strongly about something she won't answer my calls and she gets very dry and everything. My mother has been overbearing since my brother died in a car accident in Mexico when he was 15. He told my mom he was going to Florida with a cousin and instead he was in Mexico and I don't believe my mom has ever forgiven my cousin. Ever since that happened she became extremely over protective of me and when I got my first record deal at 16 even more so.

ESSENCE.COM: Speaking of which, inquiring minds want to know what exactly does AJ do for a living?
BURRUSS: AJ over time has done a lot of things, including running this collection agency while we were together and he just recently bought into this strip club.

ESSENCE.COM: Hold up. Did you just say you and AJ are no longer together?
BURRUSS: (Laughs.) We're on hiatus. He's a great guy and he's not the type to sit on his behind like a scrub, so it has nothing to do with that. Yes, he has a lot of children, and yes, I didn't know about them all at first but I got over it because as long as you handle your responsibility and spend time with your children it's not an issue for me. Another thing I want to set the record straight on is that AJ was married before. A lot of people make comments like, if he didn't marry his other children's mothers then why do you think he's going to marry you.

ESSENCE.COM: When we spoke before you expressed concern about how a separation might affect your daughter. How is she handling your break?
BURRUSS:Things have changed because not only do I have my daughter living with me but now I am the legal guardian of AJ's 12-year-old twin daughters because his mother felt the responsibility was too much for her right now and she couldn't handle it anymore. He would have taken them with him, (yeah, right)but they needed a strong female role model and wanted to stay with me. Just because AJ and I are together I have accepted them as my children the same way that my stepfather did me when I was their age and he and my mom separated. He continued do things with me as my father throughout my life.

ESSENCE.COM: That's quite admirable. Now that you've been living in front of the cameras, would you do it for a second season?
BURRUSS: They haven't really talked to me about it, but yes, I would. I didn't know what to expect or how they would portray me and I think it's pretty accurate and there are pros and cons. I take the good with the bad. My life is changing in front of millions and I'm going to continue to grow and live my life.

Here’s the dilemma: Wordpress.com won’t let bloggers monetize, and Blogspot, owned by Google, won’t communicate.

As the old saying goes...you get what you pay for. Absurdtosublime.blogspot.com was removed by Google on April 14, at 2:00pm. At the time, I had 230000 hits, and over 200 posts. No spam or viruses were found on the site.

I never received an explanation from Google. Did someone in Orange County known for tampering around with blogs, newspapers and message boards have a hand in this? Perhaps.

Anyway, I launched REALLY ABSURD as a temporary blog while I considered my options. My option: Purchasing my own domain.

ABSURDTOSUBLIME has been a difficult and time consuming venture. One thing about blogspot, they do make it easy! I have had many false starts, and I’m still having glitches and problems. But it’s up and running.

Timely and interesting posts about The Real Housewives Franchise and all the wacky characters can be found at the new blog. Is Danielle Staub really a cocaine-snorting former stripper with a criminal record? We don't know for certain.

But is this Real Housewife of New Jersey a perfect pitchwoman for her reality show? No doubt about it.

Interviewed on The Today Show this morning, Staub didn't shy away from stories in Cop Without a Badge, the 1995 memoir that allegedly details her shady life in Miami under the alias "Beverly Merrill." Instead, she used the book as a means to promote tonight's new episode.

“I can only touch on [the rumors],” Staub told host Hoda Kotb. “I can just say, it’s out there and it will be addressed. And I will definitely touch on all the subjects that are crucially in need of touching on at the time when the time is right.”

Translation: the time will be right each week on The Real Housewives of New Jersey!

Staub, who was reportedly arrested in the 1980s for her involvement in a kidnapping, said of such a rumor:

"It's not that I don't want it known, I just think there's a time and place for everything and it was deemed by Bravo that now was my time... [but] this was way before I got married - way before I had children. And maybe people can watch and see how it unfolds. Because I think people are go to be shocked."

Will we actually have all questions answered on tonight's new episode? Of course not. A good drama knows how to suck in its audience and leave viewers wanting more.

"You won't have them answered for - actually until maybe next season. Who knows..." said Staub, already doing her best to solidify a spot on the show for next year.

She's good. Staub must have gone to the Spencer Pratt school of public relations.

That's the question now that Bravo's boobs-and-Botox reality series is turning to the nation's capital for the sequel to "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and its ilk. Network officials told our colleague Lisa de Moraes they've already taped 25 local women -- but some of them told us producers were less than candid about what they were auditioning for.

Susanna Quinn, wife of superlobbyist Jack Quinn, was repeatedly assured that Half Yard Productions wasn't wooing her for "Housewives" -- and she wants no part of it. Lobbyist Edwina Rogers thought the show was about D.C. lifestyles. Would she do "Housewives"? "I don't really know," she said. "I'm not a housewife. I run a trade association."

Could producers snag authentic D.C. power players and get them to let their hair down? Um, no. In Washington, "discretion is key to marital and professional success," Nathans owner and New York Social Diary blogger Carol Joynt wrote. "Most of the husbands here -- those who are the real deal -- live off the public dollar."

Still, one of Half Yard's execs, Abby Greensfelder, moves among the political/media elite; she's the wife of New Republic editor Franklin Foer. Half Yard shot footage this spring at a party hosted by GOP lobbyist Juleanna Glover, the District Sample Sale and the Washington Humane Society's Fashion for Paws gala, where the cameras trained on fundraiser Mary Amons, the wife of a NoVa tech guy.

Sarah Ehrlich,who Jill met with in the Lost Footage episode, is a prominent scientologist. The guy they went to meet, Peter Mageti, director of the school, is also a Scientologist.

Instead of asking "Are there TV's in Kenya?" Jill could do well by asking "Does this school really exist on the ground in Kenya" . As of 2008, there is a possibility that no actual school existed, but they may have built something in the last year or so. Just sayin’

OC Shocker: Jeana Keough Not Returning

While the new season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County is scheduled to begin filming next week, one familiar housewife that won’t be returning is original cast member, Jeana Keough. The decision to not have Jeana return seemed to be that of Bravo, and not Jeana.

Tamra Barney gave an interview earlier this week to Radaronline teasing that one of the original housewives would not be returning. While Tamra did not confirm who it was, TheDirty website did confirm yesterday that Jeana Keough is the one leaving.

Tamra also says there might be a new housewife or two added to the show. I can’t help but get the feeling the show will be a-okay as long as Gretchen is still on there, and Tamra continues her pathetic mission to “expose her.” I will however miss Jeana on the show, she was a likable character. No word yet on if Lynne will be returning, does the show really need her?

We tracked down Kevin Maher, the former FBI informant and ex-husband of Danielle Staub whom he called a "coke whore." He's under a "contract" with Star for the exclusive to his story, so couldn't really talk. But he thinks Danielle's life is in danger.

"I've decided to give an exclusive to Star," Maher said when we called him. "That comes out Tuesday, so I can't talk until then. But yes, I was married to her. She did a lot of things that I think will put her life in danger. She was involved with the drug cartels in Cali and Medellín." That much is already clear from the promos Bravo has been running for Tuesday night's episode and Cop Without a Badge, the 1995 book about Maher's life as an informant.

Speaking of which, copies of the out-of-print title are currently going for upwards of $100 on Ebay, and Maher says negotiations are underway for a new paperback edition. And Maher's exclusive interview with Star comes out on Tuesday, the day of the next episode of Housewives. Everybody wins!

A representative for Bravo did not immediately return phone calls and e-mails asking for a comment as to why a television network would gleefully (and profitably!) air details of the woman's life under the pretense of a "reality" show when those details may piss off some of the violent people Staub used to run with. On the other hand, it's likely that all those details have already been aired, by Maher himself, in Cop Without a Badge (we haven't seen a full copy yet).

Bravo's bio on Staub says "she prides herself on being one of the first women in New Jersey (and 14th person in the country) to have a Black American Express Card and her history of celebrity hook-ups is one for the record books." She was also the millionth woman in New Jersey to be a stripper and get involved in the cocaine business. Other details of Staub's past are set to be revealed on the show next week.

UPDATE: A Bravo rep got back to us with their stock response to the Staub controversy, the most delightfully absurd work of flack lunacy we've encountered in a long, long time: "Bravo does not comment on the personal lives of our talent." Eleven words, three lies: Guess what they are!

In the book, she’s referred to as Beverly Merrill. Is this her real name or an alias? Not sure. But what we do know is that according to the book (whose veracity cannot be vouched for), the author claims that this Beverly character had been busted for extortion, kidnapping, and possession.

In the book, Danielle’s name is Beverly Merrill
A lot of it (the kidnapping/extortion part and the GRAPHIC description of what she's wearing . . .or not. . .when they first meet) is in the pages scanned w/ the mug shot picture link.
Apparently Kevin Maher and Danielle/ Beverly meet in 1986 and he falls in instant lust. He uses his FBI ties to get her a plea deal on the kidnapping related charges--they're reduced to just extortion, and she pleads guilty and gets 5 years probation.
Then she and Maher have a coke fueled on and off relationship where they have a lot of really intense sex.
He gets her into dancing in NJ (she's previously danced in Miami, she says)--at a club called Gallagher's--and is immediately jealous about the fact that she's too good at it. He can't deal with her showing off her body (which. . .duh) and gets insane about the fact that she makes eye contact with the clients.
More fights; more coke; more sex. At one point, she tells him "I've been with, like a thousand guys, and no one makes me feel like you do."
He finds this endearing, and they get married. Problem: HE'S ALREADY MARRIED.
More fights; more coke; more sex; more jealousy. He taps her phone and learns that she's cheating on him with the downstairs tenant, the landlord, her lawyer, and several other guys.
They split up and get back together; she files for divorce and he learns that she's been dancing under the name Danielle (aha!) at some club in Carlstadt, and that her colleagues there don't know she has a husband, but they do know she has a boyfriend--an Al Harris who is a bartender at the Bennigans in Short Hills.
Maher goes to the Bennigans and confronts Harris by jamming a gun in his crotch. After this, he and Beverly/Danielle have another screaming fight, more sex, and a final, brief, reconciliation before they break up for good in 1990.
According to the "where are they now" bit at the end, Maher last saw her dancing at the club in Carlstadt in 1991.

Here’s a review of the book.

“Cop Without a Badge: The Extraordinary Life of Kevin Maher” is quite a gripping story by Charles Kipps. This fact paced thriller is full of action as it unfolds the story of Maher’s life. Kipps calls Maher an “excitement junkie”, who was addicted to fast cars in his early teens. Maher came from a broken home and he was on his own in the growing up years of adolescence. When the police caught Maher (then seventeen) fleeing with a stolen car, he made them undergo the chase of their lives, driving wildly from Bronx in New York City to Catskills. This act landed him in prison, to which he was sentenced for a period of 4 years.

He was not the type of person to be in prison for that long though. Escaping prison, Kevin underwent some kind of a reincarnation, and came in touch with detective Jim Coherty. Coherty became a foster father to Kevin, and this changed the direction of his life. Kevin now began to work as an informant for the police. He also began working for the FBI and the DEA. This did not last very long however, and Kevin soon succumbed to his addiction to fast cars. He then came in touch with a Colombian drug scion and became addicted to cocaine. This cost him not only his career as an informant, but also wrecked his family life. Both of his marriages failed.

Kevin, however, was finally able to overcome his addiction, and presently he works for a security firm in New Jersey. His is surely one exciting life-story”.

Anonymous said...: Wow. Just found this site and am amazed at how many negative and angry posts there are about a tv show! I saw filming a few weeks ago at a photography studio in Ridgewood. I saw Dina and Tommy on "My Big Fat Wedding" and thought they acted a bit over the top and trash-mouthed. Tommy and his brothers own a very nice, locally popular event/catering hall. I know alot of people who know them and use their facility frequently (which is in Paterson.) Many were a bit turned off by how they acted on WE TV. Do they really want all this controversy and attention again? WHY?? I think it may be bad for business!:)

Also, I see thier families come in all the time just to visit them because they spend so many hours there. They also are very good to all of us. Her girls are beautiful and 3 of the happiest well mannered and caring girls I have met. I have an 19 month old daughter that runs around and gets into everything, Teresa went out of her way to help me with her. Her girls wanted to share everything with my daughter. As I was leaving her oldest daughter stopped me to give me a pumpkin she painted for my daughter and she had painted a few but wanted to make sure she gave me the prettiest one for her. They are great girls with a good mom.

Despite behaving like the consummate professional throughout the debut season of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Hartwell was quickly labeled ghetto once she confronted cast mate Kim Zolciak's slanderous remarks about her and her kids. Yet the "Housewives" franchise welcomes ratings-induced drama including an upcoming episode of the New Jersey edition which shows one of the the wives wilding out in a restaurant. ESSENCE.com asked Hartwell to weigh in on whether or not she thinks Black women are judged more harshly than their White counterparts and why.

ESSENCE.: The ATL "Housewives" show will be returning for a second season and is the highest rated of the "Housewives" franchise. It seems that the other shows are following the Georgia Peach lead for great ratings.
HARTWELL: Absolutely, they do. There's always a double standard. Perhaps, we are held to a higher standard of excellence but real situations happen. It's just unfair that people pass judgment and call our show ghetto but when they talk about the women Orange County or New York or New Jersey shows they call it entertainment. I believe that the way that we've been raised as Black people—always keeping secrets in our family and really witnessing Black women go through it—that we are judged harshly. For instance, there's a teaser for the New Jersey show where one of the women flips over a table in the restaurant. Now had any of us done that we probably would have lost some viewers and been told that we lack class. Unfortunately, certain behaviors are more accepted from our counterparts than they are among us. So tell me is their show ghetto or simply entertainment? People need to understand that ghetto isn't a color, it's a state of mind and being.
ESSENCE.COM: So what would you say to ATL "Housewives" critics?
HARTWELL: People have always said that we don't represent the women of Atlanta. It is impossible for five women to represent all the women of Atlanta but some might be able to relate to someone on our show. I've had some people say to me after seeing the argument I had with Kim, "I thought you were different." And I simply had to say that I'm human. Maybe some situations we handled were inappropriate behavior, but it's always easy to criticize and say what you would do when you're not in the situation. I'm sorry that they find our behavior offensive but oftentimes we don't really have a chance to think about our actions, or what we say. Are there certain things that in hindsight I wish I could take back? Absolutely. At the end of the day we are all human, but cut us some slack as you do our counterparts. It's all entertainment. Remember, you're only seeing a fraction of our lives, not the whole pie.

Tamra Responds to Restraining Order Dismissal

Tamra Barney, the self –proclaimed "hottest housewife in Orange County" has responded to the dismissal in court of Gretchen Rossi’s restraining order against Jay Photoglou.

"I was subpoenaed as a witness in a hearing involving...a restraining order she filed against her ex-boyfriend, Jay Photoglou,” Barney said.

Rossi claimed Photoglou threatened the lives of she and her dogs, former Housewives cast member Slade Smiley, and vandalized her Costa Mesa, Ca. home.

After Rossi failed to appear with her attorney to address the charges , they were dropped.

"I showed up in court only to find out the charges were dismissed after waiting 30 minutes. I find it strange for Gretchen, whom allegedly feared for her life because of this ‘stalker,’ wouldn't even appear in court for her hearing," said Barney.

"This speaks volumes about her character."

Barney said the women exchanged text messages the evening prior to the court appearance, but she was unsure how much information about her testimony should be given.

The women have long feuded, squabbling on the Bravo TV series' reunion show, still a sore spot for Rossi according to Barney.

"“A few weeks ago, [Rossi] and [Smiley] drunk-dialed me. Her conversation started out guarded with ‘why don't you like me?’ She wanted to make amends, but she didn't appear too sincere," Barney
said,

Barney insists she participated in the hearing in the spirit of honesty, and that Photoglou was "apologetic" for the waste of her time in court.

Danielle Staub Arrested!

Star Magazine has reported that at the beginning of April Danielle Staub was arrested at her Wayne, NJ mansion. Apparently, Danielle has yet to pay her divorce lawyers because her ex-hubby - some exercise equipment manufacturer hasn't upped her divorce settlement. I don't know how much Danielle stands to gain in the settlement, but her lawyers fees are in the six figures and they want their money. So, they issued a civil action contempt warrant.

To top it all off, Danielle's star status has already gone to her head because she asked the police if they knew who she was . . . like she was somebody! Come on Danielle, your claim to fame is that you had a Black American Express card before Madonna (thanks to your hubby by the way!), so unless the Passiac County police officers are moonlighting as AMEX black card reps they don't know you!

The shenanigans ended with Danielle spending 90 minutes at the police station and reportedly later had her publicist call the cops and ask them to reenact the arrest for the cameras. They declined, but I'm sure this isn't the last we'll be hearing about this matter.

The women in this series are all single. They are Kellie Frey, 32, Emily Gimmel, 24, Hadley Hartz, 26, Shea Johnson, 29, and Julie Smith, 34.

The first episode moves quickly as it introduces each Belle's personal story line. Frey is a two-time high-society divorcee learning to stand on her own two feet.

Shea Johnson is the girl waiting for her fiance to propose so she can start her life. She’s the one the audience will love to hate. Most of the show was about her, so we got to see what a bitch she is.

Johnson is a real-estate agent but was born into money. In the premiere, she's portrayed as totally at peace with her privileged life, which includes flying to Chicago in a private plane to shop for engagement rings. We get to sit in on a consultation in which the lowest-priced ring is $250,000. Does the boyfriend buy? Hell no.

Hadley Hartz's story line focuses on her learning to make the right career and companion choices.

Emily Gimmel describes herself as "The anti-Southern Belle." If that means losing an entertainment reporter job after being convicted of drunk-driving, then it makes sense.

Julie Smith, from Florence, Ky., is trying to break back into the modeling business at 34. She seems to have been thrown in gratuitosly,as the token black, like Kim Zolciak is the token white on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Unlike Kim, however, she seems to have little or no story line, other than being (and looking) too old for modeling jobs other than “soccer mom”, as she was told by an agent.

Lauri Waring Wants More Money

This has got me confused. TMZ says that Lauri Waring- from The Really Plastic Housewives of Orange County, has filed papers asking her ex-husband for more money. According to the papers, Lauri claims she only makes $400 a month. That's not even enough to cover her weekly liquid nails (botox and Wesson is so five years ago) bill!

In the papers, Lauri states that she has over $12,000 in monthly expenses and that her ex-husband, Phil Waring, can afford to pay her more in support, because he makes around $360,000 a year. Lauri also said that she's working as an insurance agent and an "actress" (laugh until you fart) to make ends meet.

Okay... Um. Isn't Lauri still married to George, the wealthiest man in Coto or Laguna or wherever the hell they live? Didn't George buy Lauri's ass a Mercedes and some gaudy ass joo-rees (copyright: DeShawn Snow)? Didn't George take Lauri to Dubai so that she could piss on diamonds and feast on liquid gold? How is she still getting money from her ex-husband if she re-married? Yes, everything I needed to learn about alimony I learned from Desperate Housewives.

OH! I think I know why Lauri's asking for money. It's because she's a greedy crash-grubbing whore who doesn't care how much money she has now, she still wants MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE! Hmmm. I can respect that. Carry on!

Teresa Giudice one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey , is pregnant with her fourth child, a Bravo rep confirms. The reality star is five and a half months along, and is “excited” about expanding her family.

Giudice, 36, already has three daughters — Gia, 8, Gabriella, 4, and Milania, 3 — but is unsure about the sex of her new baby. According to Bravo, Giudice “wants to keep it a secret until she delivers.”

Jacqueline Laurita, a co-star, is due in mid-June.

A fashion show with fashions might sound fairly standard, but fans of the Atlanta Housewives know that such a feat proved to be a major challenge for Sheree Whitfield on the show’s first season.

The divorced diva successfully pulled off a do-over without major incident Tuesday night at Atlanta’s W Hotel. “I am on cloud nine! I am very, very pleased,” Whitfield said after receiving a standing ovation as she pranced down the runway in a form-fitting black satin cocktail dress and fuchsia pumps.

Debuting her long-anticipated She By Shereé fall clothing collection with fellow costars Kim Zolciak, Lisa Wu Hartwell, NeNe Leakes, and new girl Kandi Burruss(a singer-songwriter from platinum-selling ’90s R&B; girl group Xscape) looking on from the front row gave Whitfield the chance to redeem herself — and for PEOPLE to catch up with Atlanta’s ladies.

“It’s all about sexiness and celebrating a woman’s curves,” Whitfield said of her collection of form-fitting dresses and casual wear festooned with rhinestones and fur. “When a woman puts on my clothes I want her to feel sexy and classy.”

Even rival Leakes admitted that it was a change from Whitfield’s infamous clothes-free “fashion viewing” featured in the show’s first season. “I liked that she had a jumpsuit in the collection. That is very in, very happening. She had a lot of variety: dresses, furs, gowns and even a jogging suit,” Leakes told PEOPLE. “It went from nothing coming down the runway to something.”

Cast members are remaining tight-lipped about what to expect from a new season, only promising to deliver plenty of drama. Kim Zolciak hinted that her singing career is still on track (even if her friendship with Leakes is not. “It is what it is,” she said of their relationship). “I am so happy with my music career,” Zolciak said, “I’m really excited about it. Everyone’s going to die when they see what happens.”

What about the cigarette smoking? “I still smoke all day,” she said.

The overly active Hartwell expressed happiness for Whitfield, telling PEOPLE, “I love to see anyone out there pursuing their dream.” And she remains as busy as every, pursuing dreams of her own with a fashion line in the works as well as a book about domestic violence. “Expect more drama for sure,” she says of Atlanta’s season 2, “but lots of entertaining moments. We share a lot of personal stories that will touch people.”

Added NeNe’s “gay boyfriend” Dwight Eubanks: “It is so over the top that we’re going to be the number one reality show on TV!”

Jacqueline Laurita: In a Nest of Vipers

Bravo filmed The Real Housewives of New Jersey over a year ago. There was some legal glitch in the production, so the show debuted last week.

That being said, Jacqueline Laurita is in a trick bag. Being truly sweet and caring has its price when the family you married into behave like a cross between The Sopranos and “Goodfellas”.

Run Jackie run. She literally ran from Dina Manzo during the party at the Brownstone. She was so afraid of displeasing both Caroline and Dina.

Then, there’s the friendship with Danielle Staub, the hot tranny mess trying to insinuate herself into the family through Jackie. Maybe she thinks Caroline Manzo will arrange a marriage for her with another stray Manzo brother, like she did for Dina. Talk about a triangle!

The four miscarriage story definitely pulled at the heart strings. It may have been the most genuine moment in all the Housewives franchise. It certainly wasn’t Lauri Waring shedding crocodile tears over Josh's latest run-in with the law, or Kelly KILLOREN Bensimon pretending to cry over her “good name”.

The good news: Jacqueline Larita is expecting a son the second week of June! A link to her Bravo blog is on my Twitter.

A judge in Newport Beach, California dropped a temporary restraining order Friday against Jay Photoglou who says he was the secret boyfriend of Gretchen Rossi, one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of Orange County”.

“Gretchen and her attorney were a no show in court today, they informed the court about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled hearing time that they weren’t going to attend,” Photoglou told the media.

Rossi claimed that Photoglou threatened to burn down her Costa Mesa home and kill her dogs, grabbed her hair and yanked her head back, made harassing phone calls, and vandalized her home and car. She said he also threatened to “dispose of” Slade Smiley, a former cast member of the Bravo reality TV series and Rossi’s current paramour.

Rossi denies she ever had a romantic relationship with Photoglou.

“Court Friday was a bitter sweet day for me. The Judge dismissed Gretchen’s allegations with prejudice (when a case is dismissed for good reason and the plaintiff is barred from bringing an action on the same claim). There was no settlement between Gretchen and I, so the judge did this on his own. Gretchen by not showing up saved herself from revealing some facts that would have proved some of her lies. One of the easiest lies to prove was on the show Gretchen stated we dated before her and Jeff. In court Papers Gretchen stated we met Jan 8th 2008 (thus every picture of us together was from Jan 2008 to Feb 2009). Another was we were going to prove that I never called and threatened to kill Gretchen Her dogs etc. We had Gretchen’s phone record subpoenaed to show our point. (I can not go into further detail about this because of possible criminal charges against Gretchen). We were going to show over 100 text messages were exchanged between Gretchen and I on the day of the taping of the reunion show Jan 31st 2009. The first one of the day from Gretchen to me said “thanks honey..thank u for being there this morning to hug me and wish me well… I love u very much..pray god gives me wisdom and strength today”. There were others that told me of the lies that were taped. Another point we were going to make was on the reunion show she gave a story of what happened the night of my call to Tamra (which was a total lie) and in the Restraining order Gretchen gave a totally different story closer to the truth and it never mentioned that I slid my hand on her. This is one of the reasons I called Evolution film and tape and put them on notice there were lies told by Gretchen about me on the reunion show. Lies that would damage my reputation. Evolution told me I would be protected because they wouldn’t use my last name. It is my opinion that Gretchen did not show up to court because she knew there were differences between the police report she filed with Costa Mesa Police Dept. the statements she made on the reunion show and accusations she made in the Restraining order. This could have subjected her to arrest and/or perjury. Gretchen soon will have some explaining to do and I hope the truth comes out. I never threatened Gretchen, I never broke into her house (Gretchen is just trying to discredit me and protect her “storyline” that she portrayed on the show). I was listed as an emergency contact on her home alarm (who lists someone as an emergency contact with the security password unless they are close) a place I lived. I hope Gretchen realizes I am not out to harm her, never have been, I am just to try to restore my name and reputation. Gretchen knows I want a PUBLIC apology and reimbursement for the tens of thousands of dollars I have had to spend defending myself because of her lies. Now it looks like she is going to try to just stick her head in the sand and try to let this go away. I hope Gretchen understands the trouble she could be in if she is charged with the crimes she has committed. There is so much more and as time goes on it will come out.”

Bethenny Frankel: Oh No She Didn’t

PETA, anti-fur jihadists, have finally acquiesced to Bethenny Frankel's constant pleas and are allowing the Housewife of New York to expose her dilapidated inventory to the public in an effort to stop fur-wearing. Bad move!

The premise for these PETA ads are, I guess, that by showing naked people who would rather go nude than wear fur, we will somehow be moved by a tincture of lust and guilt to refrain from buying coyote faces, mink stoles and tiger-upholstered toilet seats. But this whole premise is seriously undermined when the featured nudies in the ads look like Ms. Frankel.

Not to get up close and extremely personal but by appearing naked for the world to see, Ms. Frankel courts this sort of discourse. No one wants to see the sad aging skeletal flint of fury and neuroses naked. She has all the sexual charisma of Madeleine Albright. She might prefer nudity to fur-wearing but we'd prefer her to wear anything—baby seal wetsuit, anaconda sports bra, puppy sweater—than to have her larger-than-life breastplate and ribs billboarded figure towering over us.

PETA, have you learned nothing from the recent torture hullaballoo? Harsh tactics like these only drive their subjects into the enemy camp!

They won’t shut up

Part Two of The Real Housewives of New York City." was a bummer. Five screeching women and a silent one (Alex, trying in vain to be the voice of reason) trying to crucify each other on the altar of righteousness. Andy Cohen reminded me of a substitute teacher thrown in with a bunch of eighth grade hoodlums, he could only duck and cover.

Kelly Bensimon continues to confuse: she looked so scary, with that spaced out expression on her face throughout the reunion. Bethenny Frankel tried so hard to attack her, that pit-bull bundle of neuroses never realizes no one is home. Here’s a video Bethenny made, she continues to attack:

THE second season of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City." ended not a moment too soon for Kelly Bensimon.

We hear the model, 41, who was excoriated by her fellow housewives for being shallow and self-important during the show's wrap-up chat session on Thursday, has been telling friends she regrets she signed aboard in the first place. "She realizes it was a mistake," a friend of Bensimon tells Page Six. "It has ruined her socially. She knows how bad she came off."

Bensimon isn't the only cast member who ended the season at odd ends with the other women. Earlier in the week, Ramona Singer angered Bethenny Frankel by saying Frankel was still single at 37 because "she doesn't know how to date men who are proper marriage material." Bethenny was a no-show at the American Image Awards at the Grand Hyatt, where both Alex McCord and Luann De Lesseps showed up. (Still, McCord, who brought husband Simon van Kempen, left before de Lesseps even arrived.)

"They're definitely going to need some new blood for the next season because these women are all starting to hate another," laughs a spy.

Singer also told People magazine of her experience with working with Bensimon, "I didn't enjoy filming with Kelly. There's just nothing there. There's something missing."

Via a spokeswoman, Bensimon says of the claim that she regrets signing on, "I think that's laughable. I had a fabulous experience on the show. My friends love me and had a ball watching me."

A Bravo flack tells Page Six, "No decisions for season three have been made yet. The show was up double digits versus last season. We're thrilled with season two and love each and every one of our New York City ladies." And maybe the less they love each other, the better for the ratings.

Caroline Manzo is the matriarch of the family in the old fashioned, old world way. Everything real revolves around her.

That being said, Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub will bring the over the top drama. In a feud reminiscent of the Sheree Whitfield/ NeNe Leakes feud on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, these girls will go at it with even more vengeance.

Danielle clearly has problems. Caught in the middle? Sweet Jacqueline Laurita, Danielle’s friend and a member of the Manzo family. a family “thick as thieves” with no friendship outside the family. Or shall I say “The Family”.

Theresa Giudice, in the meantime, not only needs to get her twohead threaded into a forehead, a la Anchal on America's Next Top Model, but also needs to worry about the IRS, as she walks around with over $100,000 in her bag. Puh-lease! Aren’t any of them worried about what they show on television?

Guess it doesn’t matter to famewhores.
